Smart phones and the sperm: Do smartphones have an effect on semen parameters-An analytical cross-sectional study in an Indian tertiary care centre

Introduction and Aim: Cell phones are an essential part of our daily life. The effect the electromagnetic radiation emitted by smart on male infertility is unclear subject to debate. objective this study was determine smartphone devices semen parameters. Materials Methods: This a cross-sectional prospective, analytical conducted 145 infertile men attending Out-patient department Father Muller Medical College Hospital. participants were recruited through questionnaire-based approach following abstinence minimum 3 days. A 1 ml sample collected masturbation in sterile container. divided into 2 groups (< hours >2 hours) based mobile usage. main outcome measures analyzed volume, liquefaction time, pH, viscosity, sperm concentration, motility, viability, morphology. Results: mean age 35.31±5.70 years, with primary being chief complaint 96.6% (140 cases).
